Under the agreement, the NETA S will use the BlackBerry QNX® Neutrino® RTOS and QNX® Hypervisor for the vehicle's smart cockpit, the “NETA SPACE”. Besides, the NETA PILOT 3.0 intelligent driving system will be powered by BlackBerry's QNX® OS for Safety, which is a microkernel OS for embedded systems certified to ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety standard.
The NETA S hit the market on July 31. Coming with eight trim levels and two powertrain solutions (BEV and REEV), the model is priced between 199,800 yuan and 338,800 yuan ($29,620-$50,220). The NETA S is armed with the 3rd Generation Snapdragon Automotive Cockpit Platform and the BlackBerry QNX Neutrino RTOS and QNX Hypervisor, which allows for scalability and flexibility in its intelligent NETA SPACE. The QNX Hypervisor can consolidate multiple systems with mixed-criticality and different operating environments onto a single hardware platform.
