Hesai Technology partners with autonomous driving developer Unity Drive
Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s LiDAR supplier Hesai Technology reached a cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Unity-Drive Innovation Technology Co., Ltd. (UDI), a low-speed autonomous vehicle developer.

Per the agreement, the duo will put in joint efforts in LiDAR technology iteration and autonomous driving scenario development. They plan to build demonstration application scenarios for autonomous driving technologies in intelligent factories, smart logistics, and intelligent parks, facilitating the mass production progress of safer and more stable autonomous commercial vehicles.

UDI provides full-stack solutions for software and hardware development, vehicle design and production, and TaaS (transportation as a service) operations. Its main products include autonomous logistics vehicles, autonomous shuttles, remote driving systems, and cloud-based dispatch monitoring systems.
The company is the first company in the world to achieve mass production of autonomous logistics vehicle systems.
UDI has been conducting normalized operation of low-speed autonomous vehicles on over 100 park sites across consumer electronics, PCB, automotive, metal, and chemical industries, as well as on ports. The company has accumulated over 1 million kilometers of autonomous driving distance.
