JAC Group, BOE to jointly promote intelligent connected vehicle development

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker JAC Group inked a strategic cooperation framework agreement with local IoT company, BOE, in Hefei, Anhui Province, to deepen their existing partnership as well as to make advancements in the intelligent connected vehicles field.

JAC Group and BOE have been working alongside each other since 2013, applying joint efforts in various vehicle models including both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The duo has been closely working on miniLED, OLED, and other technologies.

In their respective fields, both JAC Group and BOE hold a certain market share with relatively high market visibility and influence. The partnership complements both sides regarding the industrial chain and market resource aspects. 

Based on JAC Group and BOE’s cooperative foundation, the two parties will further cooperate in the design, development, and manufacturing of onboard display solutions. The partners aim to jointly explore the new ecosystem of smart mobility, develop an immersive intelligent driving experience, and contribute to Anhui Province’s development of becoming a world-class industrial cluster for intelligent connected vehicles.

The automaker adheres to the innovation-driven transformation of China’s auto industry. Up to now, the company holds more than 15,000 authorized patents, mainly in key fields such as intelligent connectivity, advanced energy conservation, and new energy.
