QCraft deploys Robotaxi fleet armed with NVIDIA DRIVE Orin as industry first

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s autonomous driving solution provider QCraft announced on September 20 that it has become the first company to complete the deployment of L4 Robotaxis armed with NVIDIA DRIVE Orin in the industry.

On the same day, the autonomous driving company kicked off the official public operation of its Robotaxi service jointly provided with mobility service platform, T3 Go, in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. The Robotaxi deployment signified QCraft and NVIDIA’s first collaborative achievement after they reached cooperation a year ago. 

As the latest generation of NVIDIA's intelligent vehicle central computer, a single Orin chip can provide up to 254TOPS of performance, while dual Orins can provide up to 508TOPS of computing power, tackling numerous applications and deep neural networks simultaneously. The Orin chip meets the system safety standards such as ISO 26262 ASIL-D.

Moreover, QCraft also completed the mass-deployment of the Orin chip in its latest generation autonomous driving solution. With its leading full-stack technology, the company is the first in the industry to realize the application of urban NOA solution with a single LiDAR unit.

Recently, QCraft released a video collection of an autonomous vehicle equipped with an Orin-powered domain controller and a front-facing 120-degree auto-grade LiDAR completing a variety of difficult challenges on urban roads. The challenges involve complex traffic scenarios such as intersections with complex road conditions under elevated overpasses, precise positioning of multi-story parking buildings and continuous turning. QCraft’s latest technology shows a more reliable perception ability, a smarter prediction, planning, and control ability, and a more efficient data closed-loop.
