Pony.ai partners with RoboSense for autonomous driving, smart transportation

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s autonomous driving solution provider, Pony.ai, announced on October 12 its strategic cooperation with LiDAR supplier RoboSense.

Leveraging Pony.ai’s R&D accumulation of its full-stack autonomous driving technology, as well as the comprehensive advantages of RoboSense’s LiDAR products in performance and mass production, the two companies will carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of autonomous driving and intelligent transportation throughout the business chain, and promote the large-scale application of autonomous driving solutions.

Based on RoboSense's second-generation solid-state RS-LiDAR-M1 platform, the duo will jointly develop customized LiDAR products to support the mass-produced of autonomous passenger car and truck solutions.

In addition, Pony.ai and RoboSense will carry out their cooperation into more fields to cover the entire autonomous driving industrial chain. The two companies aim to build optimized autonomous driving solutions and urban intelligent transportation products, exploring new application scenarios for intelligent vehicles and helping with the construction of smart cities. 

Up to now, Pony.ai has formed partnerships with multiple enterprises within the industry, including NavInfo, NVIDIA, GAC Group’s OnTime mobility service platform, FAW Group, SAIC Motor, and Cao Cao Mobility.
