The platform breaks the original "smokestack-style" resource-heavy R&D mode of autonomous driving, and provides a more efficient and convenient software and hardware underlying support platform for autonomous driving algorithm enterprises. It is also an open platform for intelligent driving with industry-leading underlying hardware and software.
At the same time, Banma’s AliOS Drive autonomous driving operating system will run on Horizon Robotics’ Journey 5 chip first, to break through the BSP (board support package) layer, and better support the operating system, so that it can run smoother on the hardware motherboard.
Notably, self-driving technology enterprises such as QCraft, commented that the cooperation between Banma and Horizon Robotics provides a relatively open and efficient development environment for autonomous driving algorithm companies like itself, and help them lower development costs, speed up iteration, and achieve higher levels of driving safety in the field of intelligent driving.
In addition, Banma also partnered with another automotive processor supplier at the Conference, namely, SemiDrive. The duo will work to create the industry's first full-stack cabin and driving/parking integrated solution, which can be expected for mass production and application in 2024.
