On November 9, at the company’s Tech Day event, RoboSense officially launched RS-LiDAR-E1 (E1), a flash solid-state LiDAR based on its in-house, custom developed chips and flash technology platform.
It serves as a new product platform featuring area array transceiver technology with application-specific developed chips as the core. E1 is designed for large-scale series production with a simple bill of materials including no moving parts, and excels in all the three aspects of detection performance, cost efficiency and automotive-grade safety and reliability of LiDARs.
At the event, RoboSense also unveiled the only China National Accreditation Service (CNAS) recognized automotive-grade LiDAR lab of the industry. Currently, the first phase of RoboSense’s laboratory involves a total investment of 50 million yuan, and covers an area of 2,800m², housing nearly 50 professional engineers, among which the core team members have an average of more than a decade of experience in the industry.
With the support of more than 200 sets of testing equipment, the lab has simulation ability for all LiDAR application scenarios, and can independently conduct more than 120 tests.
