Parkopedia, Desay SV to offer onboard easy parking services for Chinese automakers

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On December 6, leading connected car services provider, Parkopedia, announced the strategic cooperation with major Chinese automotive electronics solution developer, Desay SV, in the field of intelligent parking.

Per the announcement, the two companies will provide a suite of comprehensive smart parking services for drivers in China, including parking data and in-vehicle QR code parking payments.

According to Parkopedia and Zhongyan Techonology’s jointly-published 2021 Driver Survey, 90% of Chinese drivers struggle to find parking spots due to the lack of accurate information. Among which, 70% drivers expect automakers to provide them with V2X-based precise parking information. 

Therefore, Parkopedia will provide Desay SV with industry-leading parking data on streetside and enclosed parking spaces of major cities in China, ensuring a high-quality parking experience for Chinese drivers.

Moreover, in order to meet local drivers’ QR code-based payment preference, Parkopedia will collect accurate parking payment QR codes for each location, embed the data into vehicles’ onboard infotainment system, and display the corresponding codes to drivers accordingly. This will allow drivers to scan the corresponding QR code on their onboard screens with their smartphone before exiting a parking facility without leaving the vehicle, contributing to a simple and fast parking experience.
