Compared to the previous generation, the Robotaxi 2.0 has the original driver's seat screen replaced by an infotainment screen in the front row, and a conversational voice assistant system added in the back row. Passengers can interact with the voice assistant "Xiaoke" in the car to enjoy an enhanced riding experience.
Since the Robotaxi service kicked off in Shanghai’s Jiading District in December 2021, SAIC Xiangdao Robotaxi has completed more than 120,000 safe operation orders, with a user satisfaction rate of 98.8%. Most users choose the service for business commuting, subway transits, leisure, and entertainment. According to the company, SAIC Motor plans to let its Robotaxi service branch out to Shenzhen by the end of 2022.
