Hongjing Drive launches intelligent driving solution based on Journey 3 chip

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Hongjing Drive, China’s autonomous commercial vehicle solution developer, announced on December 28 it has recently launched the industry’s first integrated drive/park solution based on a Journey 3 chip from Horizon Robotics.

Hongjing Drive makes it possible to integrate the drive/park scheme with a single SoC, and at the same time provides intelligent driving products that are cost-effective and offer excellent user experience for automakers. 

As a strategic partner of Horizon Robotics, Hongjing Drive has launched several sets of L2/L2+ intelligent driving solutions that are built on top of the former’s Journey 2 and Journey 3 chips, realizing a mass-production volume of over 200,000 sets in total. The newly-launched Journey 3-based solution is scheduled for mass production and installation onto vehicles in the second quarter of 2023. 

The solution adopts Hongjing Drive’s highly integrated advanced domain controller architecture, and is equipped with a 5R5V12Uss external sensor suite, a front view 8-megapixel camera, in order to support high-performance assisted driving functions. In addition, the OTA-enabled solution complies with European regulations, helping Chinese automakers effectively build intelligent driving vehicles for overseas users.
