Hesai Technology becomes LiDAR supplier of SAIC Motor’s Rising Auto

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese LiDAR supplier Hesai Technology announced on January 7 it has obtained a mass-production procurement order from SAIC Motor’s new energy vehicle brand Rising Auto.

Positioned as a high-end intelligent battery-electric vehicle brand, Rising Auto aims to be a data-driven automotive technology company. It is dedicated to building an advanced smart electric mobile space that fulfills human’s imagination of intelligent mobility experience via technology. According to Hesai Technology’s announcement, Rising Auto’s all-new vehicle model will be installed with Hesai Technology’s automotive-grade ultra-high-definition LiDAR, the AT128.

AT128 is the signature main ADAS LiDAR launched by Hesai Technology as a factory-installed facility for mass-produced vehicles. Up to now, the AT128 has become the designated LiDAR product for 10 mainstream car manufacturers in millions of vehicles. Since the mass production and delivery of the AT128 began in 2022, it has been deployed onto multiple on-sale vehicle models so far. In December 2022, Hesai Technology announced that its cumulative LiDAR delivery volume has hit the 100,000-unit mark, leading the global LiDAR industry in volume.
