FlagChip, Shanghai ZC Technology to co-build automotive MCU software solutions

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Suzhou-based chip supplier FlagChip announced on January 9 its recent cooperation with Shanghai ZC Technology ("Zhi Cong Ke Ji" in Chinese pinyin) to jointly build automotive-grade MCU software solution.

Specifically, the two companies will cooperate on AUTOSAR basic software, tool software, ISO26262 functional security, information security, FOTA, and many other areas, in a bid to promote the applications of China-made high-performance automotive chips in the fields of car body electronics, onboard light control, automotive power, smart chassis, functional safety controller, domain controller, and so on.

ZC Technology holds years of experience in basic software development, and has accumulated more than 6 years of experience in functional security of software products. The company's SafetyFrame products include a three-layer architecture covering SafetyLibrary, SBC, and functional security. The products are compatible with a rich variety of chips.

On the other hand, FlagChip is one of the few domestic companies that holds independent R&D capability for auto-grade MCU. The company is mainly engaged in automotive high-end controller chip R&D and sales. Its core R&D team has an average of more than 18 years of experience in automotive chip design, and is the only R&D team in China that has gone through the full development process of auto-grade 8/16/32 bit controllers. 

At present, FlagChip's FC4150 series products are undergoing product design and test stage via many cooperative automakers and Tier1 suppliers, and will be mass produced in March 2023. The Grade 1 FC4150 product family is based on the Cortex-M4F core-powered high-performance automotive MCU, complying to the ASIL-B functional safety rating while certified to the AEC-Q100 test.
