RoboSense becomes nominated LiDAR supplier to SERES Group

Beijing (Gasgoo)- China’s leading intelligent LiDAR solution provider RoboSense announced on February 6 it has received nominated orders from high-end new energy vehicle maker SERES Auto.

According to RoboSense, their cooperative vehicle models will be mass produced and put onto the market within 2023.

Owning two auto brands, namely, SERES and AITO, SERES Auto is affiliated to SERES Group, which was formerly known as Chongqing Sokon Industry Group. The two auto brands all have Huawei as their partner. 

In 2022, SERES Group sold a total of 135,054 new energy vehicles, reflecting an impressive 225.9% hike over the year-ago period. 

Based on RoboSense’s signature RS-LiDAR-M series (M series) LiDAR, the duo will jointly promote the intelligent perception upgrade of SERES’ new SUV model, providing strong support for SERES’ high-quality development strategy, and bringing a smarter and safer driving experience to global consumers.

Moreover, RoboSense has developed a strong mass production and delivery capability, supporting the massive needs of LiDAR products of high-end intelligent new energy vehicles. The company said it is able to produce one LiDAR unit every 12 seconds, which contributed to RoboSense’ annual production capacity target of over one million units of the M series LiDAR. The company is also able to flexibly match the production schedule and efficiently fulfill the expected orders for more than 50 vehicle models.
