The autonomous driving bus route covers a round-trip distance of 15km, passing through six stations. Citizens can make reservations through a mobile app and experience the ride. The intelligent unmanned bus deployed can accommodate more than 10 passengers and is equipped with two intelligent large screens that display real-time holographic traffic conditions. Through the vehicle's built-in sensors and roadside wireless communication equipment, the vehicle can accurately perceive the surrounding road conditions and show them to passengers throughout the ride. The self-driving bus runs at an average speed of around 30 km/h.
In addition to the public autonomous driving bus route, Baohe Economic Development Zone has also launched several other projects, such as the 4.4km-long autonomous driving 5G demonstration line, the 5G-V2X-enabled Hefei Binhu Wetland Forest Park, the intelligent connected application at Hefei South Railway Station, the intelligent connected information transformation and autonomous driving application at Hefei Port, and other pilot projects focusing on smart transportation and logistics.
