The project is based on Nissan's first mass-produced all-electric model, the Nissan LEAF, and uses the advanced autonomous driving technology provided by WeRide, a global leader in autonomous driving and mobility services.
Leveraging Nissan's expertise in intelligent connectivity, shared services, and electrification technologies, as well as WeRide's experience in autonomous driving, the Nissan Robotaxi service will offer consumers safe, reliable, and green mobility experience. During the trial operation, the Robotaxi service will cover the core areas of Suzhou High-speed Rail New Town and other open roads.
Local residents in Suzhou can hail a Nissan Robotaxi through the "e23 Chuxing" mobile app within the operation area and go to the designated pick-up station to experience the autonomous driving technology. A virtual assistant will accompany passengers to give voice commands and start a comfortable journey while strictly complying with traffic regulations.
In the future, Nissan China and WeRide will continue to work together to accelerate and expand the application and operation of Robotaxis in China, providing green and innovative travel services for consumers in Suzhou and other regions across the country.
