The release of the rules provides operational guidelines for driverless technology companies such as Baidu.
On the other hand, Pudong New Area will give full play to its location and policy advantages, as well as enhance the technological innovation capability and industrial competitiveness of intelligent connected vehicles. Leveraging the advantages of the profound auto industry, active innovation, and resource concentration, Pudong New Area aims to build a world-class intelligent connected vehicle industrial zone.
Baidu Apollo's L4 autonomous driving operating test distance has exceeded 50 million kilometers, with more than 4,600 patents in its portfolio, including the world's largest number of high-level autonomous driving patents.
