XPeng launches SEPA 2.0 all-domain intelligence evolution architecture
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On April 16, Chinese new energy vehicle startup XPeng launched its SEPA 2.0 all-domain intelligence evolution architecture, which is said to be the final technology before realizing fully unmanned autonomous driving.
According to XPeng, the company’s proprietary SEPA 2.0 architecture is set to redefine high-end smart electric vehicles with a three-year lead in technology.
Aside from the transforming technological traits, the SEPA 2.0 will also help XPeng lower its product cost, unify its product experience, and realize quicker iteration, ultimately bringing a more advanced car-use experience to users at a lower cost, said He Xiaopeng, CEO of XPeng.
In the automaker’s perspective, using the new architecture will help it reduce new model R&D time by 20% as up to 80% of the architecture’s parts are universal.
In addition, the CEO said that the first strategic intelligent coupe SUV to ride on the SEPA 2.0 architecture will be officially unveiled at the Auto Shanghai 2023 tomorrow.
