iFLYTEK introduces 'Spark Desk' AI-driven cognitive large model

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese smart speech solution developer iFLYTEK unveiled its "Spark Desk" AI cognitive large model, rival to ChatGPT, on May 6.

The versatile AI model can be integrated into various scenarios such as AI learning devices, iFLYTEK’s recording service iFLYREC, intelligent offices, smart automotive cockpits, and digital employees.

Notably, the Spark Desk can be combined with smart automobile cockpits to enable seamless communication between users and vehicles across different contextual scenarios. With its cutting-edge intelligent voice interaction system, the Spark Desk offers a multi-user, multi-turn, multi-area, and multi-modal intelligent automotive interaction experience. The large model is characterized by enhanced freedom, humanization, automotive expertise, and openness.

To extend the applicability of the Spark Desk model across multiple industries, iFLYTEK plans to introduce a "1+N" architecture. The "1" represents the development of a general cognitive intelligent large model algorithm and an efficient training infrastructure, while the "N" signifies specialized large model versions tailored to various industry domains, including education, healthcare, automotive, human-machine interaction, office automation, translation, and industrial sectors. 

In an effort to continually enhance the capabilities of the Spark Desk model, chairman of iFLYTEK, Liu Qingfeng, announced several upcoming milestones. By June 9, real-time question-and-answer functionality will be implemented, bolstering multi-turn conversation capabilities. By August 15, further improvements will be made to Spark Desk’s coding ability and multi-modal interaction. Finally, by October 24, the Spark Desk large model aims to surpass ChatGPT in Chinese language proficiency and achieve comparable performance in English.
