Holomatic appoints former CTO of Autel Robotics as chief architect for 3D vision
Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 29, Holomatic, a Chinese autonomous driving technology firm, disclosed that Xu Yiliang, former CTO of Autel Robotics, has recently joined the company.

According to Holomatic, Xu assumed the role of Chief Architect for 3D vision, driving innovation in positioning algorithms and 3D vision at Holomatic, in a bid to support the company’s efficient mass production of autonomous driving solutions.
With dual doctoral degrees from Nanyang Technological University and Texas A&M University, Xu Yiliang boasts over a decade of experience in visual localization, 3D visions algorithm R&D, engineering deployment, and multinational team management. He has worked at renowned technology companies such as Apple, Amazon, Tencent (USA), and Kiware.
Notably, Xu Yiliang has previously led Tencent's autonomous driving research center in the United States, overseeing the development of L3/L4 autonomous driving technologies. As CTO at Autel Robotics, he spearheaded the development of next-generation autonomous flight technology for drones, surpassing competitors in various dimensions.
In 2023, Holomatic continues to advance its autonomous driving systems, landing several nomination orders from GAC Group, Chery Automobile, Dongfeng Motor, etc. With offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuhan, and Guangzhou, Holomatic is also expanding its team, which currently contains over 500 people, to meet the demands of mass production.
