NIO Capital backs CIX Technology's A-round financing for CPU R&D

Beijing (Gasgoo)- NIO Capital, the investment arm of NIO, continues its support for CIX Technology, a startup specializing in universal intelligent CPU solutions, by joining in the latter’s Series A financing.

CIX Technology successfully raised several hundreds of millions of yuan in this round. With this investment, the company aims to strengthen its presence in the universal intelligent CPU field, accelerate the design and development of next-generation CPU chips, and enhance its competitiveness in terms of technology, business, and team capabilities.

Previously, NIO Capital co-led CIX Technology's Pre-A financing round and provided strong support for the latter’s first chip deployment in the automotive computing scenario. Leveraging CIX Technology's deep technical expertise in intelligent chips, software, and system-level solutions, the company ventures into the field of in-vehicle computing. It aims to collaborate with leading players in the intelligent electric vehicle industry to create highly efficient in-vehicle computing solutions. 

Founded in 2021, CIX Technology focuses on developing universal intelligent CPUs, aiming to provide low-power and intelligent computing solutions. Through its multicore heterogeneous SoC design, CIX Technology's CPU chips offer efficient computing power, versatile interfaces, and diverse OS support. They are suitable for applications such as personal computing, in-vehicle computing, and metaverse infrastructure. The company's universal technology enables the concept of "one chip, multiple uses."

Furthermore, based on the outlook for high-performance MR (Mixed Reality) devices, CIX Technology is collaborating with partners to develop the next generation of metaverse products.
