Beijing (Gasgoo)- Horizon Robotics, the Chinese automotive computing solution provider, today announced a in-depth strategic partnership agreement with Aptiv, the global technology company specializing in green and smart mobility solutions.

This collaboration aims to revolutionize the automotive industry by leveraging Horizon Robotics' cutting-edge technology and Aptiv's expertise in developing advanced mobility solutions.
As part of this partnership, Horizon Robotics will utilize its Journey® series chips to help Aptiv and its subsidiary, Wind River, a provider of critical mission intelligent edge software. Together, they will create fully integrated hardware and software solutions for automakers, including a comprehensive portfolio of edge-to-cloud products running on the Journey series chips.
By introducing high-performance and cost-effective product technologies in the field of intelligent driving, this collaboration will meet the next-generation application demands, particularly in areas like autonomous driving, and accelerate the development of software-defined vehicles.
Horizon Robotics’ Journey® series chips provide comprehensive scenario coverage for intelligent driving. Under the agreement, Horizon Robotics will support Aptiv's various software products, including Wind River VxWorks® real-time operating system (RTOS), Wind River Helix™ virtualization platform, Wind River Linux, Wind River Studio, as well as container architecture and middleware.
This marks Aptiv's first strategic collaboration with a Chinese local supplier of automotive-grade chips. The partnership allows Aptiv to leverage the localized development and delivery advantages to better support its complete-vehicle customers with next-generation automotive solutions.
