Changan Automobile deepens cooperation with Tencent on multiple fronts

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 11, Changan Automobile and Tencent signed an agreement to deepen their strategic cooperation. The two sides will strengthen their partnership in multiple areas to jointly promote higher quality digital transformation and help Changan Automobile expand overseas markets.

Specifically, the two companies will enhance their collaboration in such areas as smart cockpit, navigation and maps, autonomous driving, overseas presence, and enterprise digital transformation, 

Changan Automobile and Tencent have made significant progress in cross-industry cooperation since they formed partnership in 2017. This time, the two sides will further enrich the dimension of cooperation, create leading intelligent automobile products, and carry out joint research in the field of artificial intelligence, 5G, edge computing, and other forward-looking technologies.

In terms of smart, the duo will continue to use the joint venture company "Phoenix Auto Intelligence" as a bridge to create software and hardware integrated cockpit products that are closer to market demand, and jointly build a full-scenario user experience. They will work together to promote the application of Tencent's new products and services in Changan Automobile’s vehicles, such as map-based city-level digital twin experience, intelligent cockpit products based on large models, AI digital avatar based on the scenario engine, etc. Up to now, their collaborative products have been deployed onto more than 1.1 million Changan vehicles.

Regarding navigation and maps, the two parties will drive the next generation of in-vehicle intelligent navigation products for human-vehicle co-driving scenarios to create an innovative navigation and driving experience.

As to autonomous driving, Tencent and Changan Automobile will jointly explore feasible projects in terms of autonomous driving R&D toolchain and cloud platform construction.

In overseas business expansion, Tencent will give full play to the advantages of Tencent Cloud and globalized resources, help Changan Automobile to better develop overseas markets and mutual growth.

Finally, the two companies will work together to boost the transformation and upgrading of Changan Automobile in various fields such as digital marketing, enterprise collaborative office, smart park and smart factory, etc.
