Baolong unveils next-gen high-performance AK2 ultrasonic radar sensor

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Shanghai Baolong Automotive Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Baolong”), recently announced the release of its latest-generation high-performance AK2 ultrasonic radar sensor.

The AK2 ultrasonic radar, developed by Baolong, features a self-designed global vertical Field of View (FOV) with the smallest probe core. The sensor boasts an impressive detection range and high measurement accuracy. By employing variable frequency emission, the sensor enhances its anti-interference capabilities, effectively combining fixed frequency mode and coding mode emission. Furthermore, it complies with functional safety requirements of ASIL B level. The product's performance aligns with international regulations and domestic AVP group standards, including AK2, ISO17386 (MASLO), ISO16787 (APA), and ISO22840 (ERBA).

The newly introduced AK2 ultrasonic radar, when paired with in-house perception algorithms, fully unlocks the potential of the ultrasonic sensor to meet the demands of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and high-level autonomous driving systems. 

The product exhibits exceptional perception capabilities and enables millimeter-level distance, high-precision obstacle coordinate detection, and spatial parking space detection. It supports multi-object recognition and contour detection, while maintaining consistent detection range through high-precision temperature compensation across different operating conditions.
