IM Motors’ NOA coverage expands to additional six provinces, four cities

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On October 31, IM Motors, the premium electric vehicle brand co-backed by SAIC Motor, Zhangjiang High-Tech, and Alibaba Group, announced an update to its highway NOA (Navigating on Autopilot) coverage map, extending its service to six additional provinces and four cities in China.

The newly added regions encompass interprovincial highways in Fujian, Jiangxi, Hebei, Anhui, Ningxia, and Gansu provinces, as well as urban expressways in Xiamen, Nanchang, Shijiazhuang, and Hefei cities. Moreover, IM Motors plans to complete the nationwide coverage of its highway NOA by the end of this year.

Currently, IM Motors' highway NOA already spans 18 provinces and 30 cities across the nation. The current highway NOA coverage includes expressways in 26 major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Suzhou, as well as interprovincial highways in 12 provinces such as Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei, and Henan provinces.

In line with IM Motors' plan, by 2024, its intelligent driving assistance system, IM AD, will achieve a nationwide coverage for Commuter Mode functions. In 2025, the company aim to transition into the "Door to Door" era (all-scenario commute coverage), offering advanced intelligent driving for a wide array of scenarios.

IM AD, which is compatible with the Xavier and Orin dual AI computing platforms, features the industry's first D.L.P. (Deep Learning Perception) artificial intelligence model, said IM Motors. It's among the few systems capable of covering urban environments and offering high-definition mapping NOA solutions with a single Orin X chip and a single LiDAR.
