Upon public availability, citizens can summon WeRide's unmanned Robotaxis within designated areas using the WeRide Go App. Users can check estimated fares in real-time. Once the vehicle arrives at the specified pick-up point, passengers need only scan a QR code to validate their identity and enjoy the ease and convenience of autonomous travel.
WeRide's unmanned autonomous driving service covers 242 pick-up and drop-off points, including core subway stations, residential communities, key business districts, major office parks, and advanced manufacturing enterprises within the Beijing Yizhuang Area. The service accommodates 1-3 passengers per car and operates from 9 AM to 5 PM.
WeRide's extensive operational experience in autonomous mobility services domestically has found application overseas. Collaborating with UAE partner Bayanat in November 2021, WeRide launched Robotaxi services on Abu Dhabi's Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, garnering nearly 20,000 customer orders and earning unanimous acclaim from local users.
Leveraging WeRide's robust autonomous driving technology and acclaimed service standards, on July 3 this year, WeRide was awarded the UAE's first autonomous driving test license, marking the region's and the world's inaugural national-level autonomous driving road test license.
