Detailed insights into the Xmart OS 4.4.0 update reveal improvements in the XNGP's full-scenario navigation assistance driving capabilities. Aside from the expanded road sections where navigation assistance works independent of high-precision maps, users' experience in such scenarios as passing at intersections, car following, and lane changing has been improved as well.
The update also introduces an enhanced version of the LCC (lane centering control) feature and the SR (smart driving environment simulation display) system, alongside strengthened functionality in the automatic parking feature.
The latest XNGP update extends its coverage to include 20 additional cities, such as Suzhou, Hangzhou, Wuxi, Ningbo, and Changzhou. Along with the five cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Foshan) where the map-free XNGP was previously launched, XPeng has taken the lead in the industry by making this cutting-edge technology available in a total of 25 cities.
According to XPeng's roadmap, by the end of this year, the XNGP, XPeng’s next-generation advanced driver assistance system will be available in 50 cities across China. Looking ahead to 2024, the company plans to launch the final version of the XNGP.
