This achievement grants WeRide’s autonomous driving minibuses (Robobus) the opportunity to conduct tests on a broader range of public roads in Singapore, encompassing key areas such as the One-North tech hub and the National University of Singapore.
WeRide has become the world's first and only tech company to possess autonomous driving licenses in China, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and now Singapore.
From the arrival of WeRide's Robobus at Singapore's Centre of Excellence for Testing & Research of Autonomous Vehicles (CETRAN) on August 28, 2023 to the seamless acquisition of both M1 and T1 licenses in just three months, the company has set a record for obtaining licenses in Singapore's autonomous driving sector.
In October this year, WeRide further expanded its local partner network by signing strategic cooperation agreements with Woodlands Transport Services and EZ Buzz, local Singaporean enterprises.
