The ARCFOX αS HI Edition, equipped with a comprehensive perception system, is permitted to conduct conditional autonomous driving system tests on the designated roads in the city.
The ARCFOX αS HI features 34 high-perception hardware components ensuring 360° environmental awareness. It utilizes 13 high-definition cameras for complete coverage, complemented by 3 LiDAR units with a 200-meter range, 6 millimeter-wave radars reaching 250 meters, and 12 ultrasonic radars for enhanced perception in challenging conditions. This setup accurately identifies complex traffic scenarios, pedestrians, cyclists, and swiftly navigates while prioritizing safety, significantly elevating driving safety.
This L3 autonomous driving system embodies a six-fold safety redundancy design covering architecture, perception, decision-making, steering, braking, and power supply, ensuring safe control under diverse conditions. Beyond the 34-sensor setup ensuring 360° perception redundancy, the αS HI Edition adopts dual-chip controller, dual-brake system, dual-steering system, dual-communication link, and dual-power module designs to ensure continued safe operation even if individual systems encounter failures in extreme conditions.
The comprehensive testing, verification, and robust safety evaluations in functional, expected functional, network, and data security aspects validate the reliability and safety of ARCFOX's L3 conditional autonomous driving system.
