Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Chinese leading new energy vehicle maker BYD held the 2024 BYD Dream Day at its global headquarters in Shenzhen. This occasion signifies the introduction of BYD's Integrated Vehicle Intelligence strategy and the debut of XUANJI Architecture, initiating a transformative trajectory in the evolution of intelligent new energy vehicles.

Furthermore, BYD disclosed its plan to establish specialized all-terrain test drive facilities, aiming to ushering in a new era for Chinese automotive culture within the dynamic landscape of new energy technologies.

BYD said its strategy of Integrated Vehicle Intelligence revolutionizes the concept of vehicle intelligence by holistically addressing the entire vehicle, effectively transforming intelligent vehicles through the utilization of the in-house developed XUANJI Architecture.

According to BYD's introduction, the XUANJI Architecture functions as a comprehensive vehicular intelligent framework, acting as both the brain and neural network of the vehicle. This enables a seamless integration of electrification and intelligence, facilitating efficient operation. The system adeptly detects real-time changes in both the internal and external environment of the vehicle, processing information at a millisecond level and promptly relaying it to the central "brain" for swift decision-making. This system dynamically adjusts the vehicle's state, significantly elevating driving safety and comfort.

Wang Chuanfu, Chairman and President of BYD, commented that "Integrated Vehicle Intelligence is set to steer the future direction of vehicular intelligence, and to accelerate the transformation of the automotive industry."

Moreover, BYD unveiled the XUANJI AI Large Model, a groundbreaking multimodal artificial intelligence system for vehicles, representing the inaugural implementation of AI technology across all automotive domains. Boasting the industry's most extensive data foundation, unparalleled sample sizes, and formidable computational capabilities, it spans more than 300 vehicular scenarios, said BYD. This empowers the Integrated Vehicle Intelligence system with the ability for ongoing adaptation.

BYD's innovative e4 Parking seamlessly integrates the e4 technology with advanced smart parking capabilities, building upon the foundation of Integrated Vehicle Intelligence. With the agile and smooth control capabilities of the four electric motors, it autonomously achieves precise rotational parking. Regardless of how challenging the parking space may be, it effortlessly maneuvers for a perfect entry.

Regarding intelligent driving, BYD has housed over 4,000 dedicated engineers working on Level 2 intelligent driving deployment. The company added it also holds the distinction of being the first automotive brand to obtain the Level 3 test license.

At the BYD Dream Day 2024, a significant focus was placed on an extensive intelligence experience, highlighting BYD's state-of-the-art intelligent features. The exhibition offered a thorough exploration of diverse intelligence innovations. Attendees had the chance to experience driving the DENZA N7 featuring NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), maneuvering the YANGWANG U8 with Vehicle-mounted UAS (Unmanned Aircraft System), test-riding the e4 concept car, exploring e4 parking, and interacting with intelligent entry systems, among other functionalities.

Significantly, in collaboration with DJI, BYD developed the globe's inaugural vehicle-integrated UAS, introducing a seamlessly integrated drone bay designed for automotive use. This breakthrough incorporates intelligent storage, automated battery swapping, and charging management, facilitating one-click takeoff and landing. Moreover, it supports high-definition, high frame rate, and low-latency image transmission.
