Lotus’ EMEYA electric sedan hits market, equipped with Hesai Technology’s AT128 LiDAR

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On January 18, supercar maker Lotus’ latest million-yuan all-electric luxury sedan, the EMEYA, hit the market, and will begin sales simultaneously in China, North America, and Europe.

The cutting-edge model features a comprehensive intelligent driving assistance system and is equipped with two AT128 long-range ultra-high-definition LiDAR units from Hesai Technology as the main radar for front and rear perception. Following the success of the ELETRE, the AT128 empowers the EMEYA model, providing robust three-dimensional perception to elevate Lotus's commitment to an intelligent driving experience.

In terms of design, Lotus strategically positions the two AT128 LiDAR units on the roof and rear wing, introducing a unique hidden and foldable lidar design that blends elegance with reduced aerodynamic drag.

The EMEYA boasts a total of 34 intelligent driving sensors, including the front and rear AT128 LiDAR units as main radars, leading the industry in configuration. Equipped with dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips, the redundant computing power ensures continuous upgrades and iterations in intelligent driving, meeting advanced safety and driving requirements.

The Hesai AT128 ultra-high-definition long-range LiDAR serves as a crucial sensor in Lotus's EMEYA intelligent driving system. With 128 independent VCSEL laser emitters, it achieves a remarkable 1,200 x 128 resolution, providing an outstanding 200-meter detection range. The AT128's high point frequency of 1.53 million points per second allows the EMEYA to "see" the three-dimensional world in real-time, excelling in perceiving irregular obstacles and small objects on the road, particularly in low-light conditions and distant obstacle detection.
