Selected as one of the outstanding enterprises by the Beijing municipal government, WeRide spearheads this initiative, allowing passengers to enjoy complimentary rides on WeRide's autonomous minibus (Robobus), traveling between the Green Heart Central Forest Park, Haojiafu Subway Station, and the three major cultural landmarks.。
This marks the inauguration of Beijing's first Level 4 autonomous passenger-carrying shuttle service connecting urban scenic clusters with adjacent subway stations—a milestone achievement in integrating the city's major public transit system with autonomous microcirculation minibuses.
WeRide has initially deployed two Robobus routes. One route connects the Green Heart Central Forest Park's P12 parking lot with the Beijing City Library, while the other links the Haojiafu Subway Station with the Beijing City Library.
WeRide’s Robobus stands as the world's first factory-installed mass-produced autonomous minibus tailored for urban roadways. Operating in nearly 30 cities globally, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuxi, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore, it boasts a cabin-free design and employs WeRide's proprietary full-stack hardware and software solutions, equipped with advanced sensors for comprehensive 360-degree environmental perception and ensuring passenger safety amidst complex urban traffic conditions.
