Baidu, Hyundai Motor partner to advance intelligent connected vehicle competitiveness

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 27, Hyundai Motor and Baidu inked a strategic cooperation agreement. Together, they will explore innovative collaboration models in intelligent connectivity, autonomous driving, smart transportation systems, and cloud computing.

As China emphasizes network and data security through corresponding laws and regulations, Hyundai and Baidu will actively collaborate in data compliance. They aim to provide consumers with an enhanced experience of intelligent connected vehicle services within China's regulatory requirements, fostering an intelligent network cloud ecosystem. Additionally, they will explore new products, businesses, and business models based on future core technologies like artificial intelligence.

In the current environment, strengthening the strategic cooperation with Baidu is expected to accelerate Hyundai's SDx mid- to long-term software strategy. As a global leader in artificial intelligence, Baidu possesses strong technical advantages not only in the smart cockpit field but also in AI, autonomous driving, and search engine domains.

Having collaborated for a decade, Hyundai Motor Group and Baidu have jointly developed intelligent connectivity systems covering areas such as communication navigation, vehicle voice semantics, car-to-home and home-to-car connections, and ecosystem applications, which have been gradually integrated into mass-produced vehicle models.
