Autra Tech, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor rolls off first-batch intelligent heavy-duty trucks

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 14, autonomous truck solution developer Autra Tech, in collaboration with Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor (DFLZ), rolled off the first batch of their co-developed 20 AutraOne intelligent logistics vehicles.

At the same time, the 20 vehicles were officially handed over by DFLZ to Autra Tech at DFLZ’s facility.

The AutraOne, developed jointly by Autra Tech and DFLZ, is based on the Chenglong H7 heavy-duty tractor. It features a custom 130-cubic-meter low-drag trailer and is equipped with Autra Tech’s proprietary intelligent driving system, AutraPilot. This system aims to address key challenges in the long-haul logistics industry by reducing the need for human drivers, enhancing safety, and improving fuel efficiency.

DFLZ, a renowned commercial vehicle manufacturer with 70 years of history, has established its Chenglong brand as a market leader in various provinces and segments across China. The company is committed to advancing intelligent manufacturing and technological innovation to provide more efficient and intelligent transportation solutions for the logistics industry.

In 2022, Autra Tech and DFLZ signed a cooperation agreement to mass-produce intelligent tractors. This partnership aims for commercial-grade mass production and large-scale commercial operations. The delivery of the first batch of AutraOne vehicles marks a significant milestone following the strategic upgrade of their partnership last October, when the Chenglong H7 was handed over in Beijing.

These vehicles will be deployed in Autra Tech’s long-haul logistics operations, which focus on transitioning from dual-driver to single-driver models to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for leading logistics clients.
