Xiaomi rolls out OTA upgrade for SU7’s smart cockpit, intelligent driving systems

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On May 17, Xiaomi EV announced the rollout of its OTA update for the SU7 model, which will be upgraded to the Xiaomi HyperOS 1.1.2 version.

This update includes significant enhancements to the Xiaomi Hyper intelligent cockpit, introducing features like wireless Apple CarPlay. Additionally, Xiaomi’s intelligent driving system debuts its end-to-end valet parking technology, along with various intelligent ecosystem and driving experience optimizations.

The SU7’s smart cockpit system now supports wireless Apple CarPlay, allowing iPhone users to connect wirelessly and use Siri voice assistant to control the Apple CarPlay interface for calls, music, navigation, and more. It also enables the display of Apple’s native map navigation on the HUD.

Other upgrades to the cockpit system include improvements to Sentry mode, map optimization, enhanced remote vehicle control user experience, and HUD voice adjustment.

Xiaomi’s smart driving system has also been upgraded, debuting the end-to-end valet parking feature. This function supports a maximum cruising speed of 23 km/h and dynamic reverse yielding, significantly improving parking efficiency and safety. The system handles curves, slopes, and narrow roads more smoothly, reducing overall parking time. Enhanced game theory capabilities allow the vehicle to reverse and yield in narrow roads. It also adds a feature for parking near the destination, enabling the vehicle to find and park in an available space near the target location.

Additional upgrades to Xiaomi’s intelligent driving system include warnings for merging vehicles, remote parking, straight-line summon function, automatic folding of rearview mirrors in narrow parking spaces, improved night parking and valet parking interactions, optimized forward collision avoidance with increased automatic emergency braking capability, and a new emergency lane-keeping function with adjustable sensitivity settings.
