The Robosweeper S1 began safety tests in June at Chaoren Wharf Plaza, a landmark in Shantou. After its trial run, the autonomous street sweeper will begin regular operations along Haibin Road, covering both day and night shifts.
The Robosweeper S1, introduced in April this year, is the world's first L4 unmanned sanitation vehicle designed for open roads and diverse environments. It boasts 360-degree perception and can handle various surfaces, including plazas, relief roads, and sidewalks. As an electric vehicle, the Robosweeper S1 covers over 120,000 square meters of service area per charge.
WeRide's smart sanitation solutions have already been deployed in cities like Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, and others, including Singapore. The success in Shantou underscores the adaptability and scalability of WeRide's technology across different urban environments, driving the modernization of traditional sanitation services.
