The GXR is WeRide's second fully autonomous commercial Robotaxi model to operate in Beijing, following its launch on the Uber platform in Abu Dhabi last December. This marks the first large-scale deployment of fully driverless commercial services in China. In addition to urban roads, the GXR has also been granted permission to operate on certain highways, including routes connecting the Beijing Daxing International Airport.
