Tang Hua cars plays with fancy name
While one might have enough of the innovative show cars after last week's Shanghai auto show, Tang Hua Book Of Songs, a round yellow runabout with an inexplicable Chinese name, will continue to linger on people's head.
Built by the Beijing Li Shi Guang Ming Automobile Design Company, the small electric car was first displayed at the Detroit auto show last January.
The Tang Hua Book Of Songs' peculiar shape is outdone only by the vehicle's peculiar name. What is a Book Of Songs? Is it a Hymnal? Does it refer to lyrics? Or is there an actual book full of songs?
The Tang Hua has a 72-inch wheelbase, reaches speeds of about 30 mph and has a range of about 100 miles. The company is hoping to attract overseas consumers with its unique design.
