Anhui Ankai Automobile Co Ltd, a state-owned Chinese vehicle maker, sold 879 buses in June, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 38.43%, and its output swelled 35.52% year on year to 847 units, according to statistics released by the firm on Jul. 3.
Last month, the Shenzhen-listed firm produced 24 and sold 25 automobile chassis.
In the first half this year, the auto company's bus output surged 101.1% year on year to 4,577 units, and its sales reached 4,552 units.
Reportedly, Anhui Ankai Automobile has inked a supply contract worth RMB 180 million to produce 100 electronic buses to a passenger transport firm in Anhui Province.
Anhui Ankai Automobile said that the deal will not have a great impact on its result of fiscal year 2010.
