It is reported earlier this year, Yutong Group and Russia signed a 500 unit's buses export contract, Yutong Group has signed a contract with the Cuban government, saying that from 2007 to 2009 Cuba will Purchase Yutong Group's 5,348 units buses, the total value reached over 370 million U.S. dollars.
It is said that according to the current export contract, Yutong Group will export 5,348' passenger car units in the next three years and the models covers urban buses, School buses, long-distance passenger cars, coaches and vehicles for disabled. In 2007 Yutong will export to Cuba 1348 bus units. Meanwhile, the Group and Cuban Ministry of Communication signed an agreement to build a local CKD assembly factory for the products to achieve the export and transfer of technology.
By the end of 2006, Yutong has exported 1200 buses to Cuba. Currently, Yutong Bus has occupied 99% share Cuba bus imports.
Yutong is striving to break through 10,000 sales goals for the future, the share of export will reach 30% of the total sales value.
