Shanghai (Gasgoo)- The Geely's new MPV model, code-named VF12, was spied on the road in recent days. It is expected to help Geely enlarge its MPV lineup following the Jiaji, the automaker's first MPV model announced earlier this month.
According to the spy shots, the VF12 MPV model looks bigger than the Jiaji. Although the vehicle is heavily camouflaged, we could see that a shield-designed intake grille and a massive trapezoidal air inlet exist at the front face, somewhat adding sports flavor. The parallelogram-shaped headlights are quite distinctive by featuring L-shaped daytime running lights inside.
The new model boasts a composed and generous design in terms of its side profile. The masculine lines used for the front and rear wheel fenders create a fair light effect. The side window decorated with chrome trims tells a well-designed feature. The VF12 MPV adopts the traditional four-door design instead of sliding side door, the same as the Jiaji MPV.
The powertrain detail of the new MPV has not been revealed yet.
Geely announced the name of its first MPV model on October 10. The Jiaji MPV, boasting Geely's latest family design language, will offer a 1.5T fossil fuel-powered version and a PHEV (plug-in hybrid vehicle) version.
