Beijing (Gasgoo)- On March 31st, Human Horizons, China’s electric vehicle maker owning the luxury brand HiPhi, unveiled its million-RMB mass-production electric vehicle, the HiPhi Z GT, at its 2022 spring launch event.

The car is HiPhi’s latest creation, positioned as a million-RMB level high-tech performance “concept” GT. HiPhi’s design team was inspired by “Endless Racing”, “Tron: Legacy”, and “Ready Player One”, and came up with the digital HiPhi Z and nurtured it in the metaverse. The team then created the HiPhi Z GT on top of the HiPhi Z.

The HiPhi Z is the second production model after the HiPhi X, with presale starting at the 2022 Auto China and delivery within the year. The HiPhi Z GT is an even more unconventional model, further stretching the price limit of the already luxury brand. Its only existing model on the market, the HiPhi X is priced at RMB578,000 to RMB800,000.

At the event, the brand also announced that it is launching its fifth OTA, with an updated HiPhi OS 2.0. The OTA will bring 325 new or optimized functions in HMI, visual design, smart scenarios, safety, and entertainment aspects. 

The automaker also partnered with China’s intelligent speech developer, iFLYTEK to improve its onboard speech functions.
