Beijing (Gasgoo)- On July 19th, XPeng and eHi, the Chinese car rental service provider, inked a strategic cooperation agreement at XPeng’s R&D headquarters in Guangzhou.

The two companies also completed their first vehicle delivery at the event. Per the agreement, eHi will purchase XPeng’s vehicles in the next three years. Meanwhile, the duo will work on constructing a supercharging network, strengthening vehicle operation and user service experience, as well as promoting their joint brand images.
The cooperation with eHi marked XPeng’s new attempt in the smart mobility field. The startup believes that the cooperation will help popularize intelligent electric vehicles while enriching application scenarios.
The first vehicles delivered at the event are long-range P7s. XPeng will successively deliver its P5 and G3 models to the car rental company next and provide corresponding services to eHi’s branches in major transportation hubs and tourist cities in China.
As one of major car rental players in China, eHi holds over 10,000 service outlets in more than 500 cities countrywide. It currently has a fleet of over 80,000 vehicles with more than 200 models to choose from.
