The price range for the vehicle in Vietnam is equivalent to 296,000-377,000 Chinese yuan. Furthermore, the Peugeot 408X is scheduled to hit the Malaysian market in early 2024, with the first batch already delivered.
The Peugeot 408X has also been introduced to the domestic market in China, available for sale directly through official channels, with prices starting at 145,700 yuan.
This export to Vietnam and the upcoming market launch in Malaysia represent DPCA's efforts to diversify and expand its presence in overseas markets. As one of China's earliest joint venture pioneers, DPCA is actively developing a new model of dual circulation, focusing on both domestic and international markets to drive its transformation and growth. Leveraging the resources of both its Chinese and French shareholders, DPCA is pursuing a "Dongfeng-made, globally sold" strategy, seeking a path for sustainable development.
Notably, in recent years, DPAC has witnessed rapid growth in its export business, with an annual total export volume of 37,000 vehicles in 2022, representing a 180% soar compared to the previous year, reaching a historical high. The introduction of the Peugeot 408X and other models in new markets is part of DPAC's commitment to continuing its successful export strategy.
In the future, DPCA will leverage the resources of both its Sino and French shareholders to make advancements in the ASEAN and European markets.
