Great Wall Motor posts 2.28% YoY dip in March 2025 sales

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On April 1, Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor reported monthly sales of 97,991 vehicles in March 2025, which notched down 2.28% year over year. Of which, 31,806 units were sold in overseas markets.

Among the vehicles sold in the past month, 25,174 units were new energy vehicles (NEVs), indicating a 15.04% rise compared to that of the previous year. In the first three months of this year, the automaker sold 62,558 NEVs in total.

In the first quarter of this year, Great Wall Motor sold 256,807 vehicles cumulatively, representing a 6.73% decline from the year-ago period. A total of 90,890 units were sold in overseas markets.

In the third month of 2025, WEY and Great Wall Pickup were the only two brands that saw a year-over-year growth in sales, with a respective volume of 4,675 units (+29.57% YoY) and 20,421 units (+16.23% YoY).

With 2,776 vehicles sold, ORA saw a 53.9% plummet year-on-year in March. Meanwhile, Great Wall Motor's off-roader brand, TANK, sold 17,381 vehicles in the past month, down 8.29% from the previous year. The HAVAL brand saw the slightest year-on-year decline with 52,732 units sold (-2.45% YoY).
