For the first quarter of 2025, BYD sold a total of 1,000,804 new vehicles, which zoomed up 59.81% over a year earlier. Of those, the passenger vehicle sector contributed sales of 986,098 units (+57.93% YoY), while commercial vehicle sales amounted to 14,706 units (+688.53% YoY).

On March 17, 2025, BYD officially introduced its Super e-Platform, a groundbreaking new energy vehicle (NEV) architecture, and simultaneously opened pre-sales for its Han L and Tang L models.

A key innovation of the Super e-Platform is the industry-first 1,000V high-voltage architecture designed for passenger vehicles. This enables BYD's newly developed "Flash Charging Battery", which, thanks to reduced internal resistance and advanced optimizations, supports up to 1,000A charging current and a 10C charge rate, delivering a maximum charging power of 1 megawatt (1,000kW). The result is an unprecedented charging speed of "2 kilometers of range per second", allowing users to gain 400 kilometers of range in just five minutes, effectively eliminating range anxiety.

Aside from the technology innovation, BYD also put several new vehicle models onto the market in March, including the DENZA N9, the Qin L EV, the Sealion 05 EV, and the YANGWANG U7.
