Faurecia, part of FORVIA Group, is a global leader in automotive technologies, operating over 90 factories, technical centers, and R&D hubs across more than 30 cities in China. With its deep expertise in automotive component manufacturing and low-carbon technologies, Faurecia continues to play a major role in driving sustainability within the automotive sector.

JD Logistics, a leading technology-driven supply chain service provider in China, offers a nationwide smart warehousing network and integrated supply chain solutions. As the first logistics enterprise in China to earn certification from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), JD Logistics has committed to cutting its full-scope carbon emissions by 50% by 2030, compared with 2019 levels. The company has also built an intelligent carbon footprint management system, enabling precise, full-chain carbon accounting from warehousing and transportation to packaging and recycling, and has already provided digital carbon management solutions to nearly 100 partners.

Carbon reduction is a shared vision for JD Logistics and Faurecia, both of whom treat sustainability as a core strategic priority. Faurecia is notably the first automotive technology company globally to achieve SBTi certification for a net-zero emissions target, with plans to reduce logistics-related carbon emissions by 20% by 2030 compared with 2019.

Under this partnership, JD Logistics will leverage its national new energy logistics network to deliver integrated green solutions spanning warehousing and transportation for Faurecia. This will include the use of new energy vehicles, optimized logistics routing, and green warehousing technologies to help lower carbon emissions across Faurecia's entire supply chain while maintaining cost competitiveness and environmental benefits.

In terms of intelligent carbon management, the two companies will work together to manage carbon emissions generated in Faurecia's logistics and warehousing operations. This will involve utilizing the JD Logistics' SCEMP platform, developing and applying carbon emissions factors, and implementing intelligent monitoring of freight carbon emissions to enable full-chain tracking and management of the transport carbon footprint, ensuring the scientific achievement of emission reduction goals.
