Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 25, 2025, Leapmotor reached a major milestone as its one-millionth vehicle rolled off the production line.

The company has ramped up output at remarkable speed—growing from 100,000 vehicles in mid-2022 to half a million by October 2024, and doubling that figure to one million in just 343 days—underscoring both its manufacturing scale-up and robust market demand.

The achievement comes on the heels of improving financial performance. Leapmotor reported a net profit of 30 million yuan in its first-half 2025 results, making it only the second Chinese new energy vehicle startup to turn a half-year profit. Deliveries in the first six months surged 155.7% year-on-year to 221,664 units. Monthly sales momentum has been strong, climbing past 50,000 units in July and rising further to 57,066 in August, marking six consecutive months of segment leadership.

Buoyed by stronger-than-expected demand, Leapmotor raised its full-year 2025 sales target in August to between 580,000 and 650,000 vehicles. Founder, chairman, and CEO Zhu Jiangming has gone further, declaring an ambition to sell one million units annually as early as next year.

Unlike some rivals, Leapmotor has not relied on a single blockbuster model. Its portfolio spans a wide price band—from 60,000 to 200,000 yuan—with the C10 and C11 SUVs gaining traction in the mid-size segment and the B01 sedan targeting entry-level buyers.

The company is also accelerating its international expansion, with exports placing it among the leading Chinese startups overseas and orders from Europe recently hitting record levels. At this month's IAA MOBILITY show in Munich, Leapmotor unveiled the Lafa5, a new strategic model aimed at younger buyers.
