Xiaomi EV surpasses 500,000 units in cumulative deliveries
On December 2, Xiaomi EV announced that its cumulative deliveries have surpassed 500,000 units, a milestone reached in 20 months after the brand began handing over vehicles on April 3, 2024.
The company also added that it has already achieved its 2025 annual goal of selling 350,000 vehicles ahead of schedule, signaling stronger-than-expected demand.
In November, Xiaomi EV maintained monthly deliveries above 40,000 units — the third consecutive month it has stayed at that level since September — underscoring its rapid ramp-up and resilience amid intensifying sector competition.
BYD sees Nov. sales hit new high for this year
BYD sold 480,186 New Energy Vehicles (NEVs) in November, achieving the highest monthly figure this year—though this still represents a 5.25 percent decline compared to the same month last year. On a positive note, export figures are showing improvement.
The company exported a record 131,935 NEVs in November, a 325.91 percent increase year-on-year and a 57.25 percent rise from October.
From January to November, BYD sold 4,182,038 NEVs, marking an 11.3 percent year-on-year increase.
DiDi begins 24/7 fully driverless ride-hailing trials in Guangzhou
On December 1st, DiDi Autonomous Driving announced the start of a 24/7 fully driverless Robotaxi trial in select demonstration zones in Guangzhou. Users can now place orders through the DiDi app and can be matched with a vehicle operating without an in-car safety driver, representing a major milestone in the company's push toward commercial autonomy.
The operational zone is in the Huangpu core living circle, covering high-frequency spots like metro stations, schools, malls, office buildings, and residential communities.
