From autoindustry| March 10 , 2007

Henk van Leuven, head of Iveco in the Benelux and Scandinavian markets, has been appointed Managing Director of Iveco Ltd. He had held senior positions with the coach maker Bova, with Iveco Netherlands and DAF before joining Iveco SpA in 2001, when he took on the role of Commercial Director of the Heavy Truck Business Unit in Turin. After overseeing the launch of the Stralis tractor unit, he went on to develop Iveco’s dealer network in Russia, before being appointed as Commercial Director of Irisbus' European operations in 2003.

Mr. van Leuven succeeds Chris Thorneycroft-Smith, who was appointed Managing Director early in 2006, and who has now left the company to pursue other interests.
