Beijing (Gasgoo)- BAIC BJEV’s monthly production volume continued to see a decrease compared with the same month of last year, but its monthly sales’ year-on-year change turned positive, according to its monthly sales report.

Last month, the electric vehicle arm of BAIC Group made 350 vehicles, up by 10.1% versus the previous month but down 68.8% year on year. Its monthly sales surged 120.3% month on month to 3,491 vehicles, and jumped 73.8% year on year.  

Last month, Arcfox, the premium brand of BAIC BJEV delivered 525 new vehicles, representing an increase of 90% versus the previous month. Arcfox is also accelerating the building of its sales network to increase its sales. By the end of July, the brand has built 60 stores covering 24 main cities, which will be expanded to 100 stores and 40 cities by the end of this year.

Among the first seven months of this year, the highest production volume was only 594 while the lowest number was only 151 vehicles, with a cumulative production volume of 2,507 vehicles. By the end of July, BAIC BJEV’s year-to-date sales amounted to 10,450 vehicles, down by 37.46% from a year ago.
